Today, Mr. Petrit Malaj, the Minister of Finance, held a meeting with Ms. Ekaterina Solovova, the Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

During the course of this meeting, the strengthening of cooperation between the Ministry of Finance and the EBRD was discussed, with a particular focus on the development of priority sectors, including infrastructure, renewable energy, green investments, and the improvement of the business climate.

Minister Malaj commended the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for its invaluable contribution and support to Albania, particularly with regard to the sustainable development of the country and the reform agenda within the context of Albania’s European integration.

In turn, Ms. Solovova confirmed the EBRD’s intention to maintain its collaboration with the Albanian government in the implementation of both ongoing and forthcoming projects.

The EBRD has invested a cumulative total of over €2 billion in Albania, with a total of 152 projects.
